How can I configure notifications in PRTG specifically for sensors with priority 5 while excluding others from triggering these notifications?


Notifications for sensors in libraries

You can add notifications to libraries. Libraries can show sensors filtered by priority. Follow these steps to add notifications to your libraries:

  1. Create a new library in PRTG.
  2. Add a single object or all of your objects to this library via drag-and-drop.
  3. Right-click the library node(s) and select Edit | Settings. Under Filter by Priority, select Show only sensors with specific priorities.
  4. When your library has all the sensors you want to include, switch to the Notification Triggers tab and add a new trigger. This can be, for example, a State Trigger for the Down status.
Your newly created notification trigger will be valid for all sensors in your library. If you add or remove a sensor from the library, it will affect the notification trigger accordingly.
