To the response time, PRTG (up to version 8.1.2.1810) for most sensors adds the time needed for DNS resolution. So, when adding a Ping sensor to a PRTG device whose host is a DNS name, the DNS resolution is part of the ping time. This behavior will be adjustable soon. Meanwhile, please use the IP address as host instead of a DNS name to get the Ping time without DNS resolution. The same is true for e.g. the SMTP sensor.
