Hi

We are using library for SMS notification. We use an TAG on at group level. I have SMS notification on HTTP-sensors for example. the notification is inherit from the parent.

When I have a certain HTTP sensor which I don't want to have SMS notification, I though I could select ''Only use the trigger defined above"

but eventhough, the library trigger has been triggerd.

Is there another way to make this work?

best regards Dave

Hey,

the setting ''Only use the trigger defined above' only determines whether or not the notification triggers inherited from the group or device will apply. The triggers set from libraries always remain active, regardless of the above setting.

Is there a plan to change this behaviour ? Otherwise can you please advise me how to set this up in a way that I have default on my production-group SMS, but when I want to exclude, I use that other setting on the sensor itself.

Currently there are no plans to change this, because the triggers of the libraries should always have a higher priority. this is so desired.

To remove the said HTTP sensor from the library please use a specific "exclude" tag for this sensor. Afterwards, you can define the tag-filter rules in the library using a minus sign.

From the manual page:
You can use a plus sign (+) for tags that an included sensor must have, and a minus sign (–) for tags that a sensor must not have. This filter will only affect sensors in the subtree defined by Linked Object above.
