hi I add the address of the local radio loop but nothing to display or detect in my prtg. how can I proceed.

Dear nafoua,

PRTG cannot automatically detect an address if it is not available as IP and responds to an ICMP ping. Please check if that is the case.

yes, it is an IP address and responds to ICMP ping

Dear nafoua,

when you add a device with that IP to PRTG, can you at least add a ping sensor then?

Regarding other sensors, do you know which protocols are offered by the radio loop?

yes I can add it but the ping sensor is displayed as unknown ... for the second question: I think it's the SNMP protocol

Dear nafoua,

in this case, please check if you can read the device with the SNMP Tester. You can try to read the device uptime, or perform a walk on 1.3.6

Please make sure to enter the correct SNMP credentials. Do you get any response?

Dear nafoua,

error -2003 means that the device did not response in time, or at all. Possible causes include

  • wrong device address
  • wrong SNMP port / credentials
  • SNMP agent on the device does not run
  • or is not configured correctly
  • or responds too slow

That is not very specific, but these are the things to look for. Regarding a possible slow response, please try the increase the timeout setting. If that does not help, please check the other possible causes.
