We almost reach license sensor limit. I am looking for possibility to reduce sensors usage. For example we have two printer servers with about 200 printers. We want to monitor printer queues to know if some printer is overloaded.

But ringht now it consum 200 sensors from license. Is any way to prepare one common sensor for all printers queues?

Thank you for the KB-Post. Of course we'd also be happy if you go for the license upgrade ;-).
Getting 200 printers into one sensor will be tough though. There is no dedicated print server sensor I'm afraid. So it will have to be a custom sensor of sorts anyway. The question is, which protocol can you use to gather the print queues from the print server?
Sensors are limited to 50 channels, and you probably want to monitor each printer with its queue to really identify overloaded ones. That translates into at least 4 custom sensors here. Which "protocol" can be used to gather the metrics here? Do you have any details on this?

Currently we use sensor named Windows Print Queue. Do you see any other possibility to monitor printers queues?

Thank you for the reply. I'm afraid with Windows based print server, you'll likely have to use a script based variant, that checks the print queues (several at once) and returns each one as a channel (this would be the Custom Exe Advanced Sensor then).
