Are there any plans to have cluster aware devices that will have multiple ip addresses / DNS name?
For instance, a Microsoft SQL 2012 cluster can report two ip addresses to DNS with the same name. If round-robin is turned on (which it is by default in Windows) the PRTG box will hit the active ip sometimes and sometimes it will not, causing errors. Some modern applications are aware of multiple ip addresses and can deal with them appropriately.

That's fine, and that's what we are doing at the moment, but SQL 2012 has an active:passive approach and it registers the passive node(s) to DNS so that clients can respond to failovers more quickly .
Is multiple ip addresses per device on the road map?
Thanks.

Hello,
thank you very much for your KB-Post. I'm sorry, in the moment, the only way to handle this would either be just monitoring the service-side of the cluster, via the clustered IP / Hostname. Or monitoring the individual nodes of a cluster with separate devices in PRTG.
best regards.
