We have an average disk read sensor that happily works. Then all of a sudden it decides it cant connect, every other sensor is happy on that particular server.
Any advice on what i can check would be appreciated thanks Ash

Snoopy] Grey (SQL Server) Avg. Disk sec/Read 0 C: (Windows Physical Disk) Down : PC: Could not create Counter. (Performance Counter error 0xB0000003)
On that Particular server we are using mostly WMI Sensors. no updates or Drivers have been installed. and it has been up for a couple of weeks. this sensor had been playing up for a few months now though.
thanks Ash

Please go to the Device Settings to the category "Windows Compatibility Options" and set it to "WMI only" and you will get the wmi error message instead of the performance counter one. Maybe the new error message will help you solve the problem.
We do have a knowledgebase article about known WMI problems and solutions, that might help aswell.

What is the exact error message?
What sensor types do you exactly use? Different sensors use different techniques to connect to a target device and obtain their data. We'd need to know which sensor you use, so we can see if a whole technique fails.
Did you change anything on the prtg system or on the target system, like installing an update or a driver or rebooting or something like that?
