We have multiple remote probes in different customer sites. Recently due to internet problem probes could not communcate to core server but we did not receive any alarms that the particular probe got disconnected.
I came across a KB article saying adding a ping sensor to the probe device.
Just wanted to make sure, If I add a ping sensor to the remote probe device, will the core server ping the remote probe?

Hello Shadid,
Every sensor underneath a probe will be scanned by the corresponding probe. So adding a Ping sensor directly underneath the remote probe device will result in the probe ping-ing itself. You would need to create a new device underneath the local probe using the Remote Probe's IP instead. Alternatively you can also define notification trigger on the Probe Health sensors to receive notifications.
