Hello We would like to ask if we can monitor Disk Free Space with SNMP on Windows Servers ? Is this possible ? For Security reasons we do not want to use WMI or PowerShell.

Hello Giannis,

Thank you for your message.

Of course, you can use SNMP to monitor disks or other aspects (CPU, RAM, etc.) of your Windows servers. To do so, you only need to configure the SNMP service on your server as well as the SNMP credentials in PRTG accordingly.

Kind regards.

Thank you. We are wondering where we can find MIBs for Windows OS ? We have looked at Paesslers MIB importer but about MIBs ? We used this custom SNMP Sensor but gives as 0MB as a value. We simply need to monitor for Disk Free Space or even actual Volume Sizes.

You don't need to import MIBs for Windows, PRTG provides native SNMP sensors for it.

Here is our list of SNMP sensors we provide in PRTG: SNMP sensors

According to your need, the sensor SNMP disk free sensor is the one you are looking for: https://www.paessler.com/manuals/prtg/snmp_disk_free_sensor

Let us know if you have further questions.
