Hi,

Was wondering if it was possible to generate notifications to multiple admins in response to an increasing scale of alert? For example: Diskspace = 30% free - send an email to 3 admins Diskspace = 20% free - send an email with high importance and specific text like -WARNING!!!!!! DANGER!!!! etc Diskspace = 10% free - send email to all admins with high importance and text like - MAINTENANCE NEEDED NOW!!!!

I'm new to prtg so apologies if this has already been answered. Had a good look but could not find anything similar.

For your request you´ll need three different notifications, each of them provoked by a separate threshold trigger.

To do so the following steps needs to be done:

  • 1) Add a notification
  • 1.1) Please navigate to "Setup >> Account Settings >> Notifications"
  • 1.2) Click on "Add new notification"
  • 1.3) Under "Method", please choose "Always notify ASAP, never summarize"
  • 1.4) Please activate the option "Send Email"
  • 1.5a) Either add several comma separated addresses in the "Send to Email Address"-field
  • 1.5b) Or choose an existing User/User Group from the drop down menus.
  • 1.6) Edit the Subject with e.g. "WARNING!!!!!! DANGER!!!!" or "MAINTENANCE NEEDED NOW!!!!"
  • 1.7) Define the priority for the email
  • 1.8) Save the notification
  • (1.9) Repeat Steps 1.2) - 1.8) for each notification)

  • 2.1) Please navigate to your "Disk free"-Sensor
  • 2.2) Switch to tab "Notifications"
  • 2.3) Click on "Add Threshold Trigger"
  • 2.4) Please set the values which should reached to trigger the notification (e.g. "Free Bytes in %" is below "30" for at least "0" seconds perform "3Admins_Notification")
  • 2.5) Save the state-trigger
  • (2.6) Repeat Steps 2.3) - 2.5) for each trigger)
