Hello everybody,

We are currently implementing PRTG on servers. There is a sensor called "Windows Update Status" sensor. The standard Upper error limit is 0.2.

Now the question, what does that 0.2 mean? Does it mean 1/5th of an update or does it mean 1 single update?

Reason I am asking is that we are getting a lot of errors on the 0.2 limit, we want to raise this to like 15 updates, because we only install updates when a engineer has a maintanance day at the clients site.

Hello,

If more than 1 update is triggered the sensor swtiches in to the error state. If case of 15 update you have to use 14,2 for the upper error limit.

So this means that 1.2 update counts as 2 updates? I don't really get the 0.2 part.

Hello Robin,

The sensor does not count 2 update as 1.2 because this sensor do not use decimal places. The sensor display 2 updates as 2 update.
