Hello,
We set up PRTG about a year ago and up until recently everything was running smoothly. Recently however our vcenter sensor has been going on the 'fritz' constantly giving errors that 'statics for this entity are not available' and then saying all was well. Does anyone know why we are getting all of these false positives?

This error message usually occurs when there is a high load on this host. Monitoring requests will then get a very low priority and the server will stop to send performance details. It might help to connect to the ESX host via the vSphere Client and restart the "vxpa"-service . It might help to restart the CIM-Service on the ESX as well.
