Hello,
Is there a way to supervise Fritzbox with the AVM FRITZ!Box WAN Interface v2 Sensor form "outside" ? With the public IP ?
In the local network, it works fine.
But distant, it doesn't.
Thanks.

Hi,
There are two options:
- Enable 'Remote Administration' if your Fritz OS version supports it. Here you can enter a username and password to be used with the sensor. Note that this also introduces a security leak as your Fritz configuration is open to anyone 'knowing' this username/password.
- Enable a VPN connection on your Fritz box. Using a free VPN client like Shrew Soft on your PRTG server you can now target the Fritz box on its LAN IP. The Shrew Soft VPN Client has a 'auto reconnect' function that -as the name already suggests- automatically reestablishes the VPN connection when it is dropped.

Important note: The AVM FRITZ!Box WAN Interface sensor is deprecated as of PRTG version 16.1.23.
