After creating a template from an existing device (fortigate appliance with some snmp traffic and snmp table sensors) and starting a discovery (with created template from above) on a different fortigate device the assistant stops with "Sorry, the request cannot be processed, because object ID is missing".

Whats wrong here?

Yes, it's a bug we're currently having in the current stable version. It will be fixed with the next version. It works when you select the template in the "Create Device" dialogue or when editing the device's settings and apply there the template and then perform "Run Auto Discovery".
